Hello Chiang Mai!

Blar Blar Bar isan huge terrace/garden that offers thai food, thai beer and thai whisky in a quiet (and quite romantic) environment. There’s live music there (both thai & english rock). The card is big and full of goodies, and it’s mostly a place where locals go. The staff is friendly, too.

The reason why I’m particularly fond of Magenta is that they serve delicious and cheap vodka slush cocktails with a nice list of flavours to choose from (strawberry, lychee, lime, etc). Apart from that, it’s a place where locals come to meet friends for a meal and a drink.

This unique café is entirely decorated by the owner, a very original soul. The music is always delightful (well, that is, if you appreciate latin vibes) and the garden is the perfect green hideaway – it’s like having your coffee in a jungle corner inside the city. Dayli is in the universitary area, and you’ll mostly find locals hanging out there. The place is quite big and well frequented, and the food is delicious, authentic and cheap. They have beer promotions, too. You’ll sit outside, it’s actually a big garden, and tables are candle-lit.
