A few steps away from the Somphet Market, you will find a serie of small stands offering noodle soups, curries, donut bites, fried rice, meat balls, fruits… sometimes even rotee and gyozas.

There’s anything for a quick, good (and extremely cheap) eat here. Count 25bht for a noodle soup, and between 30/45bht for curries/pad thais/fried rices).

My personal favorites: the chicken soup stand (try the chicken soup, or the yam woon sen, a spicy glass noodle salad), the Barnnakarn Kitchen curries, and the meat balls of course (the lady isn’t there every day though).

A note! Most of the stands are only available in the late afternoon/evening. Some stay open all night long too.

From time to time, in the morning/afternoon, you can also find there delicious crêpes with lots of different fillings.
